World Pneumonia Day at AKUH

Karachi: A seminar was held to mark the “The World Pneumonia Day” at the Aga Khan University Hospital with the aim of enhancing public awareness regarding the disease and the importance of its treatment in children.

A seminar was organized to educate the masses about the various symptoms of Pneumonia, and to encourage them to seek immediate medical attention if they observe any similar signs in their children. Pneumonia is currently one of the leading killers of infants across the country and it is important to ensure proper treatment and vaccination of children to prevent morbidity and mortality.

Prominent physicians including Dr Gaffar Billoo, Dr Asad Ali and Dr Ali Faisal Saleem were the experts on the occasion.
