World Kidney Day Celebrated by CKDC

An awareness walk followed by a health awareness program and free medical camp was organized at the Clifton Kidney and Dialysis Centre (C.K.D.C.) in Old Clifton, Karachi on 13th March, 2014 to commemorate the World Kidney Day. CKDC is a prestigious institution, offering free Hemo-Dialysis and medical treatment under the umbrella of; “Welfare Society of Patient Care” (W.S.P.C.).

The exterior wall of the CKDC was decorated colorfully, sporting the “Global Kidney Day 2014” slogan on Aging & Chronic Kidney Disease. On this day, a free camp was organized to conduct blood tests and ultrasound checkups of kidneys, with free urine tests as well. Free consultation on diet and medical therapy was provided by a panel of eminent specialist consultants, for all participants.

A lecture for Public Awareness was also conducted by Prof. Dr. Ishrat Saleem, Dr. Abu Bakr Sheikh, Prof Dr. Manohar Lal, Dr. Zeeshan Ali and Dr. Imtiaz Ali. The World Kidney Day celebration in Pakistan proved to be a successful & valuable initiative for the public. Many people attended the free medical camp. Indeed, this was another milestone achieved in the history of ‘Clifton Kidney and Dialysis Centre’ & ‘Welfare Society of Patients Care’.
