Students Week Kicks Off At JSMU

KARACHI- The annual Students Week at Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) started with an elaborate torch lighting ceremony, mascot parade and sports competition.

The session was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, JSMU, Prof SM Tariq Rafi.

This two weeks long event includes 51 different types of competitions in sports, declamation, Qirat and Naat recitation, singing etc. A total of 5,000 students from JSMU and affiliated colleges have participated in this event with utmost zeal.

Naat and Qirat competitions were held at the university premises, followed by the initiation of sports competition, where boys’ volleyball and table tennis and girls’ badminton and table tennis matches took place. The semi final competitions took place at the Pakistan Sports Board Coaching Centre.-PR
