According to an agreement signed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) earlier this year, the licenses for medical practitoners across the UAE have been unified. Therefore, thousands of doctors, health professionals and nurses will now be able to practice in any emirate of the country. The agreement was signed recently, between The Ministry of Health (MoH), Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD), which has unified the licenses for medical practitioners all over the UAE.
Medical practitioners throughout UAE were eager to see this unification process since many years, as this regulatory change will improve their chances for employment and broaden their outreach.

Investors are of the view that; “This is a good step and now a plenty of medical professionals will be available in the market, as they can practice in any emirate with any of MoH/DHA/HAAD licenses.”

The Ruler of Dubai - Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum expressed his satisfaction over the signing of this agreement which was signed during the Arab Health Exhibition & Congress 2014. Sheikh Mohammad stated; "It’s a new step on the right path in order to unify the regulations, laws and procedures governing this noble human profession."
According to the ministry sources, the law would standardize several aspects of medical services in private and public sectors. The law would also ensure a single format for hiring and salaries for each job.

Sheikh Mohammed described the Health Exhibition & Congress as an excellent scientific medical demonstration, considering the scientific level of both participants and visitors, saying that the exhibition was a platform to exchange views, ideas, experiences and scientific studies that contribute to the development of health care. He stressed that the UAE will always remain an oasis of cultural harmony and human generosity.
