Karachi’s Heatwave Relief Facilitation- Heatstroke Relief Centre Established At Native Jetty Bridge

KARACHI-  District Health Officer (DHO), District West has established a Heatstroke Relief Centre at Native Jetty Bridge, Kimari Town, where approximately six people, including a woman, affected from dehydration were provided with first aid, due to extreme weather conditions of Karachi.


Dr. Khadim Qureshi, DHO- West, stated that 16 Heatstroke Relief Centers have been established in various basic health units, rural health centers and other health facilities of Baldia Town, Kimari Town, Orangi Town and some areas of Gadap Town, in order to provide basic care to people suffering from heatstroke.


Furthermore, he added that, such relief centers will remain functional till the weather conditions become better.
