Heart Transplant Surgery, soon at NICVD

KARACHI- The National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) is working adamantly on launching the facility of  Heart Transplantation in Pakistan.


Spokesperson, National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, stated that the former goalkeeper, and hockey legend, Mansoor Ahmed has been admitted in NICVD, Karachi due to heart failure; where he is being provided with the best possible care, free of cost.


According to NICVD’s Cardiac Surgeon Dr. Pervez Chaudhry, Mansoor Ahmed’s condition has  improved and he will be among the first patients to undergo a heart transplant surgery at NICVD.


Furthermore, he added that, after the successful commencement of heart transplantation facility in NICVD, no Pakistani would have to go abroad and pay heavy cost for the procedure. NICVD has been taking outstanding initiatives to provide state-of-the-art cardiac facilities and care of international standards to its patients. Patients not only from Sindh, but from all over the country are being benefited from these cardiac care facilities.
