Pro Vice Chancellor, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Prof Zarnaz Wahid stated that, corruption has spread like cancer in our society, and steps on an individual and collective level are to be taken in order to treat this menace. Holding such awareness programs in academic institutions will bring about prosperity, and our youth would then be able to stand against corruption in Pakistan.

Prof Mohammad Masroor, Prof Zeba Haq, Prof Sumbul Shamim, Prof Nawaz Lashari, Prof, Akhter Nawaz Baloch, other senior faculty members, alongside a large number of students attended the walk. Banners with anti-corruption slogans were displayed and carried by students, throughout the awareness walk.

Prof Dr. Zarnaz Wahid further added that, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has launched a campaign against corruption within country's educational institutions. This campaign started with celebration of the National Accountability Bureau. Dow University has set an anti-corruption campaign program as per HEC’s instructions.

Certain people of our country pay less tax and avoid zakat deduction, as they think that the money would go in the wrong hands. This thought has to be altered, and concerned authorities and civilians must work together to eradicate corruption from Pakistan.
