DEPI Committee's Meeting at Larkana

Larkana: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Larkana, Kashif Ali Tipu, has urged the officers of Health Department, elected representatives, NGOs, teachers, scouts, students and social workers to play their role in administering anti-polio drops to the children aged below five years during a four-day anti-polio campaign..


He said this while presiding over a meeting of District EPI & Polio Eradication Committee, at his office.


He called upon the officers to make all-out efforts for eradication of Polio fromthe District.


He directed the health department officials to ensure visit of Mobile teams to remote and katcha areas so that no child is left and deprived of anti-polio drops. Earlier, District Health Officer Dr.


Abdul Rehman Baloch said that the estimated number of children in Larkana district is 306,850. He informed that in all the four talukas of Larkana district, four zones have been established and 853 teams have been formed along with 79 fixed immunization centers in the district to vaccinate the kids.
