DC South Urges CHK Administration to Remove OPS Officials

KARACHI-  Deputy Commissioner South, Mr. Syed Salahuddin Ahmed recently visited Dr. Ruth K.M Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi and urged the hospital administration to remove the own pay scale (OPS) cadre or non-cadre officials from their posts on an immediate basis.

Assistant Commissioner (AC) Nizir Soomro, Medical Superintendent, Civil Hospital Karachi,  Dr. Tofique, AMS (General), CHK. Dr. Rubina Basheer and other officials were also present during this visitation.

DC, South reviewed the medical facilities that were being provided to patients, alongside visiting the central lab, incinerator, pharmacy and other departments. He expressed his satisfaction over the facilities being provided by the hospital to the admitted and visiting patients.

After inspection, he directed the hospital administration to remove the doctors, nurses, paramedical staff and other employees who are working against actual posts in this health facility, under the directives of Chief Secretary Sindh. He asked to sought lists of OPS cadre officials from hospital’s administration.

Medical Superintendent, Civil Hospital Karachi, Dr. Tofique, briefed the DC South about all the healthcare facilities related to emergency and other departments of the hospital.

More than 50 employees, including doctors, nurses, paramedical and administration staff were working on key technical posts, against their actual posts within the health facility due to political influence and favoritism.
